Local Olympic medal winner hits bulls-eye at 4H clinic

(Toledo News Now) -

A man who knows a few things about scoring a bulls-eye showed off his skills Sunday in Toledo.

Jacob Wukie won an Olympic silver medal in 2012 for the US archery team.

Mr. Wukie is an Oak Harbor native and now lives in Fremont.

Jacob conducted a 4H clinic at the Mudjaw Bowmen Archery Club.

He says archery is growing in popularity because of movies like 'Hunger Games.'

"One thing with archery is it's a sport you can compete in for a long time, even into your fifties you can be in international competition," said Mr. Wukie.

Mr. Wukie would like to return to the summer Olympics in 2016, where he says winning a silver medal was a blessing.
