BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) - Businessesin Bowling Green are preparing for a busy weekend as the sixth annualWinterfest kicks off.
"Itcreates a lot of buzz," said Ben Waddington, owner of Waddington Jewelers. "Alot of people see the rings outside and come inside to look at Valentine'spresents."
Thecrowds come to see the massive ice sculptures in town. This year there are morethan ever before, 25 in total, including one of a giant engagement ring outsidethe jewelry store.
"Wedo see an uptick in engagement ring [purchases]," Waddington said. "[But] it'sa smaller budget holiday, so we see a lot in the $200 range, just little knickknacks."
