Thehospital's organization, Kids in Safe Seats, helps teach parents the proper wayto secure their children. When it comes to car seats, Veres says there arethree things parents need to keep in mind:

"Themain things to look for when buying a car seat is: Does that car seat fit inyour car properly? Does it fit your child correctly? And can you use itcorrectly every single time?" Veres said.

Anotherthing she suggests parents do is fill out the recall card that comes with everycar seat and send it to the manufacturer. That way if there ever is a recall, they will contact you directly.
