TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A 2-week continuance has been granted in the case of Ray Abou-Arab, who has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated arson and aggravated murder in the death of two Toledo firefighters.
The continuance was granted as Abou-Arab is attempting to retain counsel.
Abou-Arab's bond has been raised to $5,850,000 in response to added charges of aggravated arson and tampering with evidence.
Approximately 20 firefighters were in attendance for Tuesday's hearing. Tenants of the apartment where Abou-Arab is accused of starting the fire were also there.
A new court date has been set for Feb. 25.
