Two week continuance granted for case of man charged in Toledo firefighter deaths

A 2-week continuance has been granted in the case of Ray Abou-Arab, who has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated arson and aggravated murder in the death of two Toledo firefighters.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A 2-week continuance has been granted in the case of Ray Abou-Arab, who has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated arson and aggravated murder in the death of two Toledo firefighters.

The continuance was granted as Abou-Arab is attempting to retain counsel.

Abou-Arab's bond has been raised to $5,850,000 in response to added charges of aggravated arson and tampering with evidence.

Approximately 20 firefighters were in attendance for Tuesday's hearing.  Tenants of the apartment where Abou-Arab is accused of starting the fire were also there.

A new court date has been set for Feb. 25.
