MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn football had an unlikely fan across the pond this signing day.

According to Dee Ford's Twitter profile, she's a "boring surveyor from Kent" in England. However, she's become pretty popular with some Auburn fans thanks to a mix up on Twitter.

Not only does she share the same name as an Auburn football player -- the two Dee Fords have similar Twitter handles. That has led to a lot of confusion.

Many people have tweeted the British Dee Ford thinking she was the star football player. She now has hundreds of followers, including Auburn wide receiver coach Damyune Craig.

Even Auburn's Dee Ford has accidentally used the British Dee Ford's Twitter handle instead of his own.

The two Dee Fords have reportedly exchanged messages. The female Dee Ford says she's now a big fan of the defensive end and Auburn despite not knowing a thing about American football before the mix up.

"The Auburn fans have been helping me all the time. They don't mind if I ask a really stupid question. Somebody had to explain to me what the tight end was tonight," Dee Ford said.

She even tried to get tickets to an NFL game in England this summer but they were sold out.

LSU went back to work this week in preparation for the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame. A win would be nice, but this is also a chance to get some freshman playing time to get ready for 2018. Well it'll come in practice only. "Those guys will get more reps. So I'll give them a couple of more reps at the end of a team period. It's sending the wrong message to our football team.
