St. Rose Perrysburg shows off expansion plans

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Big changes are coming to St. Rose Catholic School in Perrysburg.

The school held an open house on Sunday to give parents an idea of what they can expect.

Drawings were shown of a new expansion of the pre-school there.

In addition, an old gym will be transformed into additional pre-school space so more students can be enrolled.

The expansion means students will no longer be turned away.

The school will now be able to increase the number of students from sixty to eighty.

"We just close classes, put them on a waiting list. Hope to eventually be able to take them in. There is demand in Perrysburg," said Principal Barb Jenks.

Renovation of the old gym should be finished in time for next school year.
