Three people injured in crash in Hanover County

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

Right now, three people are in the hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision in Hanover.

Officials tell us two vehicles hit head-on Mountain Road near Ashland Road around 1 p.m. Saturday. We are told one of those vehicles caught fire.

They say one person was flown by State Police helicopter to VCU Medical Center, while two others were rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

The road is closed while the crash team investigates. We will update you on-air and online as this story continues to develop.
