Lebron named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month
LeBron James was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month on Friday.
James currently is averaging 25.5 points per game this season and also has his Miami Heat in firm position to challenge for another NBA Championship with the second best record in the Eastern Conference.
LeBron played in 14 games during the month of December. He averaged 24.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. James shot .581 from the field .351 from behind three point range in the month of December while leading the Heat to an 11-4 record during that stretch.
Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder earned the Western Conference Player of the Month award. Durant is currently leading the league averaging 28.6 points per game in 2013. The Thunder are currently a half game out of the first seed in the Western Conference.
