Autopsies expected on murdered Barberton teens

BARBERTON, OH (WOIO) -

Autopsies are expected Thursday on the brother and sister murdered in an armed robbery at their home.

It happened at 329 7th St. NE in Barberton on New Year's Eve. 

The teens have been identified as Ashley Carpenter, 18, and David Kohler-Carpenter, 14.

The father of the teenagers and his girlfriend were also shot, but survived. John Kohler, 42, and Rhonda Blankenship, 38, are being treated at an Akron Hospital.

The unknown suspects remain on the loose. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Barberton Detective Bureau at 330-848-6709 or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS (2677).
