Mom arrested for taking kids along for burglary

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton woman is facing burglary and endangering children charges after authorities say her 3-year-old was injured as she tried to get away from a heist.

Annie Brown, 27, and 29-year-old Jennifer Lipps of Hamilton removed two televisions and jewelry Monday from a home in the 8100 block of Eaglecreek Road in Colerain Township, according to court documents.

As Brown carried the items to a vehicle, the homeowners arrived on the scene. One of the homeowners attempted to stop Brown from driving away.

Brown struck the homeowner's vehicle and a tree. Brown had her two children inside the vehicle. Brown's 3-year-old son was injured and was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for evaluation.

In another incident Monday in the 4900 block of West Kemper Road in Colerain Township, Brown and Lipps are accused of breaking into a home to remove a television. An alarm sounded and the television was left at the scene.

Brown and Lipps are each charged with two counts of burglary, a second degree felony. Brown is also charged with two counts of endangering children, a first degree misdemeanor.

Brown has been released from the Hamilton County Justice Center. Lipps is still there on $10,000 bond on each charge.
