One of Elias Acevedo's victims in court called him a monster.  Acevedo stood up and said he wasn't a monster but we now know that he didn't admit to killing Pamela Pemberton and Christina Adkins until the death penalty was off the table.

Then he said, "I did it".

Convicted killer Elias Acevedo cried as his three grown daughters testified about a father who raped them as kids.

Acevedo pled guilty to 297 charges -- multiple rapes of his kids and another pregnant relative.

He raped and killed both Pamela Pemberton in 1994 and a pregnant 18 year old Christina Adkins a year later.

Teresa Perez, his sister in law, said "in my eyes he is a sick and evil monster and should never see the light of day... never."

Acevedo raped Adkins who was his cousin's girlfriend. She threatened to tell and Acevedo killed her.

"He doesn't realize what a beautiful person he took away from me," said Christina's mom Debbie Marmol.

Acevedo was sentenced to 445 years.

"I hope one day you can find in your heart to forgive me.  I am not a monster," stated Elias Acevedo.

Acevedo will never be eligible for parole.  He will die in prison.

After double overtime, the Toledo Walleye came out on top and beat the Indy 3-2 Thursday night for a sweep in the series. Even though the fish had a 3-0 lead in the first round playoff series, the toughest thing to do in hockey is to beat a desperate team on their home ice.  Halfway through a second overtime Kyle Bonis sets up Christian Hillbrich to score the game winning goal.  The Walleye now advances to the second round. They will play the winner of the Fort Wayne and ...
