Charles Ramsey, the man who helped rescue three women held captive for over a decade, has signed a book deal with Cleveland publisher Gray & Company.

Ramsey became a worldwide sensation after his interview about the rescue went viral. He is credited with helping free Amanda Berry and her daughter, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight from the house where Ariel Castro held them captive for 10 years.

According to a press release sent out by Gray & Company, he signed the book deal on Thursday, December 19 and it will be co-authored by Randy Nyerges. Nyerges co-wrote "Day of the Dawg" in 2012 with Brown's defensive back Hanford Dixon.

The untitled book will be released sometime in the spring of 2014.

The book will cover Ramsey's life before the rescue, and he will talk about his childhood, serving prison time, and living next door to Castro, not knowing about the horrors going on inside. He will also go into detail about the day of the rescue, and his life after becoming famous.
