Christmas parades across western Carolinas

It does not take long for towns to start decking the halls in time for the holidays after Thanksgiving.

And part of several towns' traditions are their own Christmas parades. We've compiled a list of local parades held throughout the season.

Friday, December 13

Dacusville Tree Lighting: 7 p.m.

Saturday, December 14

CANCELLED: Blacksburg Christmas Parade: 2 p.m.

CANCELLED: Boiling Springs Christmas Parade: 10 a.m.

POSTPONED: Dacusville Christmas Parade: 2 p.m. has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15: 3p.m.

Duncan Christmas Parade: 10 a.m.

POSTPONED: Fair Play Christmas Parade: 1 p.m. has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15: 2 p.m.

CANCELLED: Norris Christmas Parade: 11 a.m.

Pacolet Christmas Parade: 10 a.m.

CANCELLED: Piedmont Christmas Parade: 11 a.m.

CANCELLED: Reidville Christmas Parade: 3 p.m.

CANCELLED: Travelers Rest Christmas Parade: 10 a.m.

POSTPONED: Ware Shoals Christmas Parade: 11 a.m. - Rescheduled for Dec. 21

CANCELLED: The Hickory Tavern Parade in Laurens County: 5 p.m.

POSTPONED: Duncan Christmas Parade will be combined with Wellford's, Sunday Dec. 15: 2:00pm

Sunday Dec. 15

Gaffney Christmas Parade: Rescheduled from Saturday for Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Liberty Christmas Parade: 3 p.m. More info at www.libertysc.com

Slater-Marietta Christmas Parade: Rescheduled for 3 p.m. after rained out on Dec. 8

West Union Christmas Parade: 5 p.m.

Dacusville Christmas Parade: Rescheduled from Saturday for Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

Fair Play Christmas Parade: Rescheduled from Saturday for Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Duncan and Wellford will combined parades, 2:00 p.m. in Wellford

Thursday Dec. 19

Williamston Christmas Parade: 3:30 p.m.

Saturday Dec. 21

    Mobile Meals is looking for volunteers to contribute their lunchtime to deliver meals. All pick-up site locations are in need of meal delivery volunteers and/or substitutes.
