Merchants host 'Holidays on the Boardwalk'

Saturday marks the start of "Holidays on the Boardwalk," a community event hosted by the Oceanfront Merchants Association.

This year's events being on Saturday, Nov. 30 and continue until Dec. 21. Here's a list of events for all ages to enjoy:

Lighting of the Boardwalk - Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m., Plyler Park

Caleb The Camel - Saturday, Nov. 30 from noon to 4 p.m.

Children of all ages will enjoy the view of the beach as they ride on Caleb The Camel along the Boardwalk from 9th Ave North to 8th Ave North. Caleb will be here from noon to 4 PM every Saturday from Thanksgiving to New Years. Tickets are $7 each. First 100 children will receive a Caleb tree ornament along with the "Legend of the Camel."

Santa Strolling the Boardwalk - Saturdays, Dec. 7, Dec. 14, Dec. 21 from noon to 4 p.m.

Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause are visiting the Boardwalk right on schedule for the Holidays. He will be located on the Boardwalk with the beach as the backdrop for you to take pictures of your child sitting on his lap.

The Polar Express Boardwalk Holiday Train - Every Saturday from Dec. 14 through Dec. 28, noon to 4 p.m.

Ninth Avenue to Eighth Avenue North. Pricing is $3 per child. Free Hot Chocolate included in ticket purchases.

A Blue Christmas with Elvis - Every Saturday until Dec. 21, 4 p.m.

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party and Contest - Saturday, December 14 at Ocean Front Bar and Grill, 6 to 8 p.m.

Dress for the contest or just come for the fun. Prizes will be given for the ugliest of the ugly sweaters in a kid's category as well as an adult category. The Adult grand prize will be $250 cash and the child wearing the ugliest kid's sweater will win a huge 5 Ft Christmas stocking full of toys. Light appetizers will be served. Buzz Berry from the Channel 4 Sqramble Scuares will be the MC, so this will be a night full of laughter, free food and prizes!

Community Candlelight Caroling - Sunday, Dec. 22 at 5 p.m., Plyler Park
