LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man committed back-to-back robberies Friday night, stealing beer from a liquor store and then a package left at someone's door, and one of the crimes was caught on a witness's camera, Metro police said.

According to an arrest report, Keegan Brown, 21, entered Liquor Store in the 400 block of Oak Street just before 9 p.m. Friday and threatened force and physical injury while stealing the six-pack of beer. The witness gave up the beer without a fight.

Police said Brown then went to the 1200 block of South 3rd Street and took a package UPS had left outside a home. A witness took a picture with his cell phone of Brown. According to police, Brown physically attacked the witness, grabbed the cell phone out of his hand and threatened to kill the witness if he called police. The witness fought back, regained his cell phone and dialed 911.

Officers arriving on the scene were shown the picture of Brown. He was captured a short time later walking in the 400 block of Oak Street holding the package and the six-pack of beer. Police said the package, containing two pairs of shoes, had been opened.

Brown is charged with second degree robbery, second degree attempted robbery and theft of mail matter.
