(WMC-TV) - The Shelby County Commission will vote to approve the Lakeland and Arlington agreements.

Bartlett reached an agreement Wednesday that will be presented to the school board next Tuesday. There are still three municipalities left, and the commission says the clock is ticking.

Chanda Murphy has a daughter who is about to enter kindergarten.

"We've lost the mission on all of all of this, to provide the best education our kids," she said.

She says the latest negotiations between suburbs and Shelby County Schools are frustrating.

"It's so convoluted at this point. Nobody knows what's going on," said Murphy.

Shelby County Commissioner Chris Thomas is also ready for a decision between all municipalities. So much so that he wants a decision at the commission's final meeting on December 16 or he will issue a resolution to end all remaining lawsuits.

"I'm gonna have the resolution presented, and I feel like we've got the votes to dismiss it against whoever is left. So if that's Germantown only or ... Millington at least that part of it will go away," he said.

As of Thursday, Germantown officials said they had not scheduled any negotiations with the Shelby County School District.

The SCS board voted to keep Germantown Elementary, Middle and High Schools post merger, but they have made it clear that they plan to schedule those negotiations.

"I would like a decision either way, and I think most parents would say that. I don't want to speak for them all, but I think a lot of us that just want the best education for our kid," said Murphy.

Collierville leaders say they are still in negotiations, but they are close to reaching an agreement. Millington is also getting close, though they continue to battle over Lucy Elementary.

As for the resolution, Thomas plans to bring it up at their final meeting on December 16.
