Fostoria rail park now open

FOSTORIA, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Fostoriais known for the number of trains that roll through the city on a daily basis.Now rail fans have another reason to stop by the city: A rail park people havebeen waiting for is finally open.

Railenthusiasts say the location of the rail park is unlike any other in the entirestate. Instead of hanging out by the side of the tracks, they now have a railpark to call their own. It opened Friday.

Fostoriais called the Iron Triangle because three different railroads are represented.Fans come from all over the state just to watch the trains pass through. Nowwith a permanent park, more people will be visiting the city.

"Itis really a benefit for economic development," said Michael Harvey, from theRail Preservation Society. "With a diverse amount of trains on a daily basis,with all kinds of road names of the rails, it draws a lot during any time ofyear."
