(WMC-TV) – The Memphis Police Department is investigating a robbery at Wells Fargo Bank located on the 3600 block of Hacks Cross Road, near Winchester Road.

This bank is located across the street from FedEx Express World Headquarters.

The call came in around 9:15 Friday morning. Police say a man wearing a mask and a green coat walked into the bank and demanded money.

The suspect implied that he had a weapon, but witnesses did not see one. He fled the scene in a gray Cadillac CTS.

"He didn't have to make me get down because I'm going to get down and hide when you're robbing a bank anyway. You don't have tell me nothing. As soon as you say robbery ... I'm just OK," said witness Kennedy Smith.

Police say that a female customer sustained minor injuries, when she fell running from the scene.

The subject who entered the bank is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet tall, 30 to 35 years of age, approximately 230 to 250 pounds, wearing dark green trench coat, blue or black shirt, tan pants and black shoes. No photos of the suspect are available at this time.
