Springfield teen killed in I-91 accident

LONGMEADOW, MA (WSHM) -

Massachusetts State Police are still investigating a deadly accident that occurred on Interstate 91 in Longmeadow.

State police told CBS 3 a driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into a tractor trailer and caught on fire just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Police said that driver was a 17-year-old from Springfield.

They think he swerved to avoid couch cushions in the road.

State police haven't released the victim's name.

They want anyone with information about a dark colored pickup truck pulled over in the northbound lane just before the crash to come forward.
