$5K reward for info leading to Dietrikk Boone

Toledo Police and U.S. Marshals are now offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads them to Dietrikk Boone

(Toledo News Now) - Toledo Police and U.S. Marshals are now offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads them to Dietrikk Boone, who is wanted for the robbery and murder of a gym owner last November.

Boone has been off the grid for almost a year. Police don't think he's in Toledo, but they think he could be hiding out with family in Columbus, Cleveland or Atlanta. Police say there hasn't been a day that's gone by that they haven't been looking for him.

According to police, Boone and four others robbed and shot Joe Lengel when he showed up to open his gym on the morning of Nov. 19, 2012. Lengel was left dead in the parking lot.

The four other suspects are already behind bars. Police say the only thing standing in the way of giving the Lengel family closure is finding Boone.

"The littlest snowflake can turn into that snow boulder that can lead to this guy's arrest," said U.S. Marshal Christopher Hodge. "So if you have a little piece of information, we need to know so we can investigate that, and hopefully we can make this little snowflake into an avalanche and be able to catch up with Dietrikk Boone."

Officials want to point out that Boone's appearance may have changed in the year that he has been on the run, but he has a large tattoo on his left arm that says 'my brother's keeper' in cursive.

Anyone with information that can lead to finding Boone should call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
