(WMC-TV) - Embattled Memphis councilwoman Janis Fullilove held her first public meeting since accusations she was impaired at the last council meeting.

Fullilove says what people think happened is not reality. She says her focus is on her job.

"I actually feel wonderful," said Fullilove only on Action News 5.

Fullilove conducted her MLGW committee Tuesday without holding anything back. This comes after questions over her behavior at the last council meeting two weeks ago.

"The perception was what it was, but it was only the perception," said Fullilove.

Fullilove said perception she was under the influence is wrong.

"I know what the reality actually is. I'm not focusing on that. I'm focusing on what I can do for the citizens of the City of Memphis," she said.

The outspoken councilwoman said she is dedicated to the job, in which she was elected to serve.

"I look fabulous, will continue to be fabulous and continue to work hard for the citizens of Memphis," she said.

The city council attorney investigated the incident and found the allegations inconclusive.
