PORT CLINTON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Residents in Port Clinton are showing their support for a local teen battling cancer.

Support for Devin Kohlman can be found all across Port Clinton and farther. There are "Keep calm and pray for Devin" towels, "Team Devin" T-shirts, and more. Owners of The End Zone, a sports apparel store, say they've received orders from across the country for people wanting to show their support for the former football player who is now battling an aggressive form of brain cancer.

The owners say students from Oak Harbor, Port Clinton's biggest sports rival, came up with the slogan for towels branded with Devin's jersey number, 93, and football players and cheerleaders are wore them during Friday's game.

The store has sold hundreds of "Team Devin" shirts in just the last week. They say they never thought their small way of helping unite their community would grow so large so fast.

"I really thought it would just be a handful of shirts this next time around and it has really just turned into a ton of them!" said Co-owner Becky Petersen. "We've shipped them out of state to Tennessee and Michigan, all over the place…It's just amazing."

The End Zone plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Kohlman family.

Valentine's Day, a day to celebrate love, turned into a day of heartbreak. A shooter stormed into a Florida high school, opened fire, and killed 17 people. Many of the victims were sweet children, children who I see my innocent baby girl growing into.
