GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Police say after a nearly week-long search, they've located a man with a traumatic brain injury who disappeared from a relatives' home in Glendale.

Glendale police said they found Alfred Smith, 57, in South Phoenix on Thursday and he is now with his family.

Smith had not been seen since 5 a.m. on Nov. 1 in the 5500 block of West Belmont Avenue.

Glendale police said Smith is from out of state and came to stay at his relatives the night before he disappeared.

Family members were concerned because he takes medication for seizures and cancer. He left without identification, phone, money or shoes and was unfamiliar with the area. His whereabouts during his week away from family are unclear.
