250 whip-it cans, stolen items found in Rossford home

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

RossfordPolice say they're investigating a possible theft ring after searching twoapartments and finding what they believe to be stolen property and more.

OnWednesday, Rossford Police and the Wood County Sheriff's Special Response Teamsearched a home on Helen Drive. Inside, they found stolen property they believeis connected to an increase in home invasions, directly related to drugs.

Policealso found about 250 whip-it canisters. They say that's more than they've everseen in one place, more than restaurants have in their kitchens.

"It'shighly illegal and highly dangerous to the person who uses it or abuses it,"said Rossford Police Chief Glenn Goss.

Thecans contain nitrous oxide and are used to pressurize whipped cream cans, butabusers use them to get high.

"Youinhale this, you're instantly cutting off…the air supply, the oxygen needed tothe brain," Goss said.

JoshuaCurtis, 19, and Samantha Crawford, 22, were charged with drug-related offenses.Police say Crawford is also connected to a recent home invasion, where21-year-old William Wesley stolenearly $100,000 in jewelry from his own grandmother.
