Zombie Crawl Friday night in Uptown area

The ‘Zombie Crawl' promises a thriller of a good time Friday night in Toledo's Uptown neighborhood.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - The 'Zombie Crawl' promises a thriller of a good time Friday night in Toledo's Uptown neighborhood.

The event began four years ago and has picked up momentum each year. The Halloween party includes seven venues along Adams Street, with a mix of indoor and outdoor areas.

People who don't have a costume can still get zombiefied by makeup artists from the Toledo School for the Arts for a donation.

Ryan Bunch, organizer of the crawl, says it's a fun way to highlight the progress that's being made in the uptown area and the small business development in that part of town.

"This is a growing arts and entertainment district," Bunch said. "There's a bunch of great venues here, and that's what it's really about – not just a fun excuse to have a good costume party, but to really celebrate and show people how walkable the bars are."
