(WMC-TV) - Friends and neighbors are uncovering more about the man who is responsible for a fiery standoff Tuesday. Aaron Dumas, 32, shot two TACT officers and was later found dead in a bathtub in a burned house

Action News 5's Ben Watson spoke the Dumas in 2007. Dumas' 89-year-old grandfather had died in a house fire on Sparks Street. He was insisting someone should pay for his family's loss.

Fast forward to 2012, Dumas allegedly had his ex-girlfriend of eight months Sabrina Johnson and other residents living in an apartment community living in fear.

Family members say Dumas became obsessed with Johnson after she broke up with him.

"I know that he carjacked her furniture, and about two or three nights later he came and burned up her car her Mercedes," said a family member who wanted to remain anonymous.

Johnson had a restraining order against Dumas. She moved away from her apartment so he could not find her. But Dumas' on-going relationship with Angelique White was just as tumultuous. Police say Dumas shot White and her brother a driveway.

Neighbor James Russell says he has been friends with Dumas for almost nine years.

He says Dumas was a good man who went to work every day and took care of his home and family, but he said the breakups broke his heart.
