The search for Christina Adkins picked up steam Friday, October 11, 2013 and now confirmation by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner says the bones found at the scene are human.

The process of identification will likely take several weeks.

FBI and Cleveland Police spent much of the morning and afternoon in the grassy area just off the 90 E and 1-76 South.

Cleveland's FBI Spokesperson Vicki Anderson says Friday's search was the result of information gathered from the October second search at Clark Fields on the city's west side.

Adkins went missing in January of 1995. She was last seen on West 25th Street. She was 18-years-old and five months pregnant.

Reporter George Smith spoke with family members of Adkins as they left their home tonight.

They did not want to talk on camera.

The family asked for privacy and wanted to thank everyone in the Cleveland area for supporting them.

Friday's search for Christina Adkins was the third this year.
