Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander had enough of one White Sox fan taunting him from behind the dugout. The Astros were in Chicago for a three-game series, when, in the second game of the series, a White Sox fan began taunting him, yelling "you suck!" Verlander responded with signs that read, "No, you suck!"

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A $7 million project is in the works to convert a former Toledo school building site into a senior living complex.

The former Warren Elementary School is long gone, and a nonprofit group created by the Warren AME Church is planning to build a 32-unit gated community for seniors. Roughly two-thirds of the 8-acre site is currently owned by Toledo Public Schools, and legislation before City Council calls for the city to accept the land from the school district, and sell the property for $32,000 to make way for the housing development.

"This whole area is just ripe for development and opportunities like this. I'm glad we can utilize it and make something positive out of it," said Rev. Otis Gordon Jr.

If approved, the units will be single story, each with a parking garage, plus the site would have security fencing with limited access for cars entering and leaving the site.

"This is a relatively new development than what we've seen in the past, which is mostly three-story high-rises for seniors. A lot of seniors like the more privacy aspects of this development," explained Sylvester Gould with Gould Development Company, LLC.

The goal is to start construction in the fall of 2014, with the work expected to support 165 construction jobs.
