SWANTON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio is set to take off Wednesday at 6:45 a.m. despite the government shutdown.

The flight, which will carry 75 veterans, will leave out of the Toledo Express Airport and head to the nation's Capitol. The vets will visit a variety of memorials, including the veteran's memorial.

After the government shutdown, it was unclear whether the trip would go as planned. They raised $75,000 and booked the flight before the shutdown.  Organizers decided to go through with the trip, despite the shutdown.
