Leading Edge with Jerry Anderson – October 6, 2013

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

This week on Leading Edge: healthcare exchanges open and the federal government shuts down.

First off, Jerry speaks with a former FAA administer turned BGSU political science professor. Dr. Russell Mills breaks down what lead to the closure of the government, and predicts what he thinks will happen next.

Later in the show Jerry tackles the Patient Protection and Affordable Car Act, more commonly referred to as Obamacare. Health insurance exchanges opened this week across the nation. So what does that mean for the uninsured? What about those who already have health insurance? David Spiess, an employee benefit consultant, breaks down the law and how it will affect you. For more information from the National Association of Health Underwriters, visit http://www.nahu.org/.

Finally this week – where's my bus? That question is now a lot easier to answer for TARTA riders. Jerry speaks with Jim Gee, TARTA's General Manager about the brand new "TARTA Tracker."

Don't miss Leading Edge with Jerry Anderson, every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on WTOL 11 and 10:30 p.m. on FOX Toledo.
