Scene clear after bomb squad called to downtown intersection

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police say a box of sand caused a scare and closed a downtown intersection Wednesday afternoon.

The Toledo Police bomb squad was called to the intersection of North St. Clair Street and Jackson Street because of suspicious package. After some investigation, it was discovered the package contained only sand.

The intersection was closed for less than an hour because of the incident. All roads have since reopened.
