Liberty Center fans seeing triple on the field this season

LIBERTY CENTER, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Liberty Center has not one, not two, but three Pohlmans on the team.

Rather than us tell you about them, we decided to let them tell us about what it's like to be brothers both on the field and off.

"We were born August 10th, 1995," said Kaleb Pohlman.

"We are all on the same high school football team," said his brother Kam Pohlman.

"My brother (Kaleb) plays QB and MLB. My other brother (Kam) plays MLB and guard. I play WR and DB," said Konnor Pohlman.

"It's a pretty special thing to be a triplet on the same football team. It hasn't been all that special for me because it's all I've known," said Kam.

All of the brothers told us they were the best looking of the three. But what is each one like?

"Kam sticks to himself when we are home. He likes to read and play video games. Konnor is the lazy one usually. He doesn't like to do work around the house. I usually listen," said Kaleb.

"Yea, our team is full of jokesters," said Konnor.

Competition between the brothers is fierce but at the end of the day, the amount of love between them cannot be ignored.

"Sometimes we nitpick at each other more than we would than other players. Just cause we're family," said Kaleb.

"Just having that connection on the FB field. I know where he is going to throw me the ball," said Konnor.

"You kind of hold them more accountable because you know what they are capable of. You have lived with them for so long. You have played with them for so long," said Kam.

"It's nice going home being able to still talk about the game, not just with your dad but other players also," said Kaleb.

"Oh, I love it. There is no better feeling in the world than right now," said Konnor.

Facebook posts from more than a year ago caused controversy at a west Toledo business Tuesday night. While a community group won't stand for the derogatory comments made, the business owners feel the group's outrage has crossed the line.  The posts from Twin Oak Lanes owner Jeff Kuhnle that were made in 2016 and 2017 are now haunting him. The posts use derogatory and racially insensitive comments about Muslims.  "First of all as a Muslim woman living in America ...

BYLINE: Victoria Idoni EAST TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - This is an all too familiar scene on the roads: people getting distracted behind the wheel. April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The good news is, there are ways in which our changing culture is evolving to deal with technology and how it can both hel...
