How often are Cleveland's portable cameras catching speeders? - News, Weather, Sports, Toledo, OH

How often are the city of Cleveland's portable cameras catching speeders?

We obtained a breakdown of how often portable cameras caught speeders on the first day of operation in the city of Cleveland.

Yesterday the city put up portable cameras at several locations around town to snap pictures of speeding cars.

The drivers will get tickets later.

The city says the cameras took hundreds of pictures.

However, all of those pictures have to be reviewed and investigators have to track back the license plates before any tickets get sent out.

Additionally, a few hundred will automatically be thrown out because the city did not have proper signage warning drivers about the cameras.

However for a glimpse of what the cameras are seeing check out the break down below.

  • 4050 Superior Ave EB- 10 Events
  • 2416 E 55th St. SB- 22 Events
  • 2300 St. Clair Ave. EB- 275 Events

The City of Toledo is apologizing to a man after they billed him for cutting grass on public property near his home.  Anthony Davis and his wife have lived in their home in south Toledo since 1995. The grass in the cul-de-sac outside their home is often overgrown. Davis normally does not mind cutting it himself.  "Just so that we don't look like we're living in some type of jungle or something," Davis said. However, recently the grass grew up to his knees.
