WATERVILLE, OH (Toledo News Now) - WatervillePrimary School just won some major bragging rights. They were named a nationalBlue Ribbon School, and students there beat out every other school in the areato win the title.

PrincipalChad Warnimont says dedicated, hard-working teachers and students eager tolearn are just some of the reasons they've been so successful.

WatervillePrimary School was the only school in northwest Ohio to receive thedistinction, and one of only about 290 in the country. They earned the awardbecause their math and reading test scores have been consistently high over thepast three years. Their test scores are in the 90th percentile, withthird grade reading scores the highest at 97 percent.

"Wewere absolutely amazed," Warnimont said. "It was such a great honor yesterdaywhen we found out. We read the list and I got the announcement and shouted, 'Yippee-kay-ay-yay!'to all the students and staff. We were so excited."

Hesays that excitement will continue because of the teachers' enthusiasm in theclassroom and students who are always ready to learn.
