The Bengals brought back an old friend on Wednesday.
The team signed free agent safety Chris Crocker.
Crocker, a 12th year NFL player, played 59 games with 53 starts for Cincinnati over the 2008-12 seasons.
He played in 13 games with nine starts last season and finished the year tied for the team lead in interceptions.
He has 139 career NFL games with 107 starts.
His prior Bengals contract expired after last season, and Tuesday's signing marks his first NFL activity of 2013.
