Heroin Bust: Water Dept. worker arrested on the job

Craig Amie, Public Utilities Custodial Worker, was arrested by the FBI Thursday afternoon at the Water Dept. on Lakeside.

Amie was wanted on state charges in connection with the big heroine roundup that took place Wednesday.

Amie has been with the city since 2007. He's now off the job until this case plays out.

As of this morning 72 people in the roundup have been arrested and since then others have turned themselves in.

    Under the mayor's plan, a Regional Water Commission would be established, with an appointed representative from each community that purchases water from the city on the commission. The city of Toledo would have two representatives.Toledo would retain the Collins Park Water Treatment plant and city council would have the final say over rates that the Regional Water Commission puts forth.
