2 more Fostoria teens could face charges in assault

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Press Release) -

More charges could be coming following a Bowling Green assault. Police say a group of five Fostoria High School students are accused of assaulting two men over the weekend.

Officers say the group attacked two men in their 20s in Bowling Green early Sunday morning. When police located the accused teens - ages 16 and 17 - all but one denied being involved in a fight.

Three teens have already been charged for the assault. Two of them play on the Fostoria High School football team.

Police say they also found marijuana and a digital scale used to weigh drugs in the car the teens were driving.

The two teens that had not been charged in the assault may now face drug and paraphernalia charges, along with the three already charged in the attack.

The case has now been sent to a juvenile prosecutor.

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - It's no secret that firefighters can get sick with cancer because of many of the things they must do on the job. Now, there's a national effort to help them. In January, Governor Kasich signed a state bill that allows firefighters diagnosed with certain cancers, to get more worker's compensation benefits or coverage. And today in Washington, a bipartisan bill was passed out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee...
