Toledo Police unveil new cars

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It's the first week on the streets for 117 new Toledo Police cars.

Toledo News Now's Amanda St. Hilaire was able to talk to Stg. Joe Heffernan to find out how these new police cars will help keep the community safe.

New features on the police cars include:

  • Higher seats and blue lights for better visibility
  • New suspensions and breaks to help with police chases
  • The new police cars can sense when it's in a pursuit, making the drive safer and easier
  • Doors open wider to keep people safe when getting in and out
  • Saves tax payer's money because the cars have better gas mileage
