Teen motorcyclist injured on I-75 in Wood County

WOOD COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A motorcyclist was seriously injured late Saturday night in a wreck on southbound I-75 in Wood County.

According to highway patrol troopers, 19-year-old Kyle Dimick, of Toledo, was traveling at a high rate of speed in Middleton Township around 10:40 p.m.

Officials say he lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to overturn in the roadway.

Dimick was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the median. He was taken to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers say Dimick was wearing a helmet and protective clothing at the time, which helped minimize his injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to investigators.
