MAUMEE, OH (Toledo News Now) - The original Appliance Center store was located on Lagrange Street.
Today, the store is in Maumee.
On Saturday, the store celebrated its 50th anniversary with a family fun festival in its parking lot.
There was a bungee jump, bounce house, face painting, carnival games and entertainment.
The event continues on Sunday.
"We've got 130 local employees that are saying thanks for all the support that's allowed the Appliance Center to grow and be part of the community," said John Oswald of the Appliance Center. "This is really one of the times we want to give back to the community."
Mr. Oswald says expansion plans for the Appliance Center will be announced next week.
