An Indiana man convicted of setting fire to a Perrysburg mosque is filing an appeal.
Court documents show attorneys for Randy Linn are asking the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit to review his conviction.
Linn took a plea bargain last December, but tried to back out of the deal in March. Federal Judge Jack Zouhary refused to let Linn out of the deal and denied a requested competency hearing.
In mid-April, Judge Zouhary sentenced Linn to 20 years in prison and ordered him to make more than a million dollars in restitution.
The appeals court in Cincinnati has not set a date to hear Linn's case.
