Leading Edge with Jerry Anderson – September 1, 2013

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

This week, Rob Wiercinski fills in for Jerry. First off - the civil war in Syria. Rob speaks with Dr. Marc Simon of Bowling Green State University to discuss the international and domestic politics of the situation.

Then, major steps have been taken in the fight against blight in Toledo this year. Rob sits down with Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz to talk about the efforts of the Lucas County Library.

Finally on the show, it's been 175 years since the Toledo library was founded. Hear how the library plans to celebrate the anniversary from children's librarian Mary Rava Miller. For more on the library, visit http://www.toledolibrary.org/default.aspx.

Don't miss Leading Edge with Jerry Anderson, each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on WTOL11 and 10:30 p.m. on FOX Toledo.
