‘This is Me’ event helping promote self esteem among young girls

Girls on the Run of Northwest Ohio is a non-profit organization helping build strong self esteem in young woman, and they have a special event coming up to help raise awareness to their cause.

On Wednesday, organizer Jeremy Baumhower and artist Lee Bates stopped by Your Day to talk about their 'This is Me' event, and to encourage woman to go to work without makeup this upcoming this Friday.

The 'This is Me' event will feature photographs of select women without makeup in northwest Ohio serving as role models, including Toledo's News Now Chrys Peterson.

The event will take place Friday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Blarney Event Center in downtown Toledo. They will have live music, art, food and spirits.
