Rossford business owner gets 47 months for arson, insurance fraud

A Rossford business owner will spend nearly four years in prison after setting her own office on fire.

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Rossford business owner will spend nearly four years in prison after setting her own office on fire.

Patricia Groves was convicted of aggravated arson and insurance fraud on June 5. On Friday she was sentenced to serve 36 months for the arson charge and 11 months for the insurance fraud. The two sentences will be served consecutively, meaning Groves will spend 47 months in prison.

Groves set her own business, Downey's Daisy Cleaning in Rossford, on fire in December of 2011.

Groves will get credit for time she has served since her arrest.
