New morning routes for Springfield students

Parents and students in the Springfield district will notice a new traffic route when heading back to class this week.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) - Parents and students in the Springfield district will notice a new traffic route when heading back to class this week.

One of the changes this year for Springfield Local Schools is the traffic route for cars and buses dropping off students in the morning.

In preparation for the underpass going in next to the school, the district added parking at the west end of their football field. That parking lot will be for buses only, on school days from 7:00-7:40 a.m., to make the morning drop off process easier.

Holland Police will be on hand to start the school year, to help with traffic as parents get used to the new routing.

The additional parking by the football field will be used for athletic events at the stadium and events at the Holland Middle School Complex.
