21 arrested in Wood County prostitution busts

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Wood County Sheriff's Office says 21 people were arrested in a series of undercover prostitution operations in July and August. Aiding in the operations were Rossford Police, Northwood Police, Perrysburg Township Police and the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

On July 2, the departments conducted a sting at a Rossford hotel. Arrested were:

  • Jason Hartman – 37 – Findlay, OH – Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Channon Mallard – 23 – Southfield, MI – Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Randy Steedman – 47 – Rossford, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Troy C. Smith – 51 – Sylvania, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Charles Martin Jr. – 54 – Toledo, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Tasha R. Walker – 35 – Toledo, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Chanice S. Burkes – 23 – Toledo, OH – Charged with complicity to solicitation prostitution
  • Betty Slinker – 37– Toledo, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Shirley Speelman – 31 – Toledo, OH - Charged with complicity to solicitation prostitution

Police held a similar operation in Northwood on July 31. Arrested that night were:

  • Vincent Sample – 26 – Toledo, OH – Charged with solicitation
  • Ronak Patel – 27 – Elmhurst, NY - Charged with solicitation
  • Joseph Beehner – 19 – Maumee, OH - Charged with solicitation
  • Nathan Ball – 22 – Bellevue, OH  - Charged with solicitation
  • Joshua Morrin – 24 – Whitehosue, OH - Charged with solicitation

The final sting was held on August 19 in Rossford. Arrested in that operation were:

  • Rodney Metzger – 55 – Monroe, MI - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Tarek Abou-Madkour – 43 – Holland, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Shawn Allen – 37 – Toledo, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Douglas Long – 68 – Clayton, MI - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Otto Schug – 44 – Columbus, IN - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Peter Schaal – 41- Holland, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
  • Ronald Stewart – 41 – Bryan, OH - Charged with solicitation prostitution
