Wagyu Beef Sliders w/ Herbed Cream Cheese

For the onions:

2 tablespoons canola oil

2 large onions thinly sliced

1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 clove of garlic crushed

1 sprig of thyme

salt and pepper to taste


For the cheese:

1 clove of garlic

8 ounces cream cheese

4 ozs butter

1/2 teaspoon chopped dill

2 teaspoons chopped chives

1/2 teaspoon chopped marjoram or oregano

1 teaspoon chopped parsley

salt and pepper to taste


For the sliders:

3 pounds ground wagyu beef

salt and pepper to taste

12 small burger buns

melted butter ( to toast buns)


  1. Heat a saute pan over medium heat until it just starts to smoke. Add canola oil, garlic, thyme and cook for about 1 minute. Add onions, salt, pepper and cook until onions are a light brown. Deglaze pan with worcestershire, add butter and continue cooking until they attain a dark brown color. Reserve for later use.
  2. To make the cheese: combine garlic, cream cheese and butter in a food processor and process till well combined. Add fresh herbs and process till just combined. Season to your taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Pre heat your grill to medium heat ( Due to the fat content of the wagyu the burgers will char pretty quickly on high heat).Season wagyu beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 ounce patties. Brush the insides of the burger buns with melted butter and toast on the grill. Cook burgers 3-4 minutes on each sides for medium rare.
  4. To assemble: coat both sides of the bun with cheese, put the burgers on the bottom bun and top with onions.
