This stay of unusually warm October weather has a countdown to cool. Highs will stay in the 70s and even reach to just shy of record 80s on Saturday before it all comes to a close. The end of the warmth begins late Sunday evening as showers sweep across the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. This late weekend system will be just the start to a cooler pattern next week; that will bring our coolest temperatures of the season so far.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A rumored strip club will not be welcomed in one south Toledo neighborhood.

Work is being done on the potential business in the Burroughs neighborhood, near the intersection of Airport Highway and South Avenue. The location is surrounded by homes and an elementary school.

"We don't need it in the neighborhood," said Carole Loth, who lives nearby.

The building used to be home to the old South Aire Restaurant. Now work is being done to turn it into a bar, and neighbors have caught wind that it may be a strip club.

"I don't want a strip joint there. I really don't want a bar there," Loth said. "We still have fights there, and I'm afraid we're going to have more fights or other stuff because drugs are going to come through."

The Burroughs Neighborhood Organization is working to keep a strip club from opening there.

"We're definitely upset," said Molly Tomaszewski, from the organization. "A restaurant is one thing. A strip club is another thing. We don't want that to happen in our neighborhood."

And city leaders agree with them.

"A strip club can't go there," said Councilman Mike Craig. "It's adjacent to residential, it's probably too close to the school, and it's not zoned properly."

It turns out most of the work on the building is being done illegally, without permits. That may shut the operation down altogether.

City inspections officials say the building is illegally occupied. The owner has not acquired the proper permits.

"The city is well aware of what's going on there and they're keeping a very close eye," Craig said. "This is a nice neighborhood and it needs to stay that way."
