PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Perrysburg residents at one apartment complex are on edge after several break-ins and burglaries.

One victim says her sense of security is gone after someone broke into her residence through the window at Perry's Lake Village Apartments. Her apartment faces a pond, so no one saw anything. Her neighbor's apartment was also broken into and motorcycles have been tampered with on the property.

Stephanie Shephard says it took days to realize she was robbed because nothing was out of place, until she realized $130 in cash and $2,500 in jewelry were stolen and cannot be replaced.

"I had my grandmother's wedding ring in there and she has since passed," said Shephard.

Shephard says she is left with only pictures to remember the woman who meant so much to her.

Shephard's family was not home when the robbery happened Wednesday around 3 p.m. but now she wants increased security and surveillance cameras. According to the landlord, police have increased patrols in the area.
