PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The man accused of threatening two cable news network anchors for their coverage of the Jodi Arias trial pleaded not guilty in Maricopa County Superior Court on Thursday morning.

David Simpson, 48, was arraigned for stalking and computer tampering at 8:30 a.m. His will next appear in court Sept. 17.

Detectives maintain Simpson tweeted death threats to CNN's Headline News commentators Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio Arpaio said last week that David Simpson, of Bath, NY, admitted to Arizona authorities he was en route to Georgia to kill Grace by "putting a knife" between her legs and slicing her to death.

When police picked him up in New York, they found guns, knives and handcuffs in his car.

The City of Toledo is apologizing to a man after they billed him for cutting grass on public property near his home.  Anthony Davis and his wife have lived in their home in south Toledo since 1995. The grass in the cul-de-sac outside their home is often overgrown. Davis normally does not mind cutting it himself.  "Just so that we don't look like we're living in some type of jungle or something," Davis said. However, recently the grass grew up to his knees.
